About Us
Mitchell House is an Education Authority Belfast Region co-educational special school for children with physical disabilities. Most of our students have an associated learning difficulty to some degree.
I’ve been a little quiet on here because I had to do the unthinkable and phone in sick for a few days! Thankfully I was well looked after and a few days rest with some medicine has me back in action again! Here are a few pictures of what I’ve been up to:
- walks by the sea really do make everything so much better
- I met my ‘cousin’ Molly from Cedar Lodge
- I missed my friends and am so glad to be back with them again (cuddles really are the best!)
I popped in to wish all the @wingitbelfast marathon team all the best for Sunday 🎉 🏃♂️I freely gave cuddles when I was there too!
I was on BBC Newsline tonight - did anyone see me? I played so well with my chum for the camera 🥰 Full video is over on the school Facebook page.
I’m 9 months old today 🎉 That means I’ve been part of the MHS family for 6 whole months 💜
I had a very exciting day welcoming the Heath Minister @mikenesbitt1957 to school. I was able to show him first hand the benefits that having me in school makes to the health and wellbeing of my friends.
One of my new favourite things is having the boys and girls walk me on my second lead 💜
It’s been a busy week for me with all my friends. I’ve been doing lots of class visits, getting cuddles and doing a spit of reading too! I was at Forestside again this week with my siblings for our training - I even had to do a sit and stay in the pet isle! Of course I was a super star as always 💜
Can you spot me? Big outing on Friday for me and my siblings! If you see us in Forestside some day do please come and say hello 💜
What an exciting morning, I was such a brave girl! Massive thank you to the team from Knock Fire Station who were so kind to me and my friends at school today 🎉💜
